Michael Park

Emmy-nominated Michael Park (Jack Snyder) is headed back to Broadway. The actor will star opposite former One Life to Live star Christine Ebersole in the revival of Applause. Park previously appeared in Smokey Joe's Cafe.

In March 2007, many long-time As the World Turns viewers were surprised by the news that Scott Bryce, the "original" Craig Montgomery, would be returning to the role he portrayed from January 1982 to May 1987. Now, less than a year into his return, Soap Central has learned that Bryce was let go during the show's holiday break.
Jennifer Landon

Sources say that two-time Emmy winner Jennifer Landon (Gwen Norbeck) and Emmy nominee Jesse Soffer (Will Munson) are leaving As the World Turns in early 2008. The talented duo joined the cast in 2005 and 2004, respectively, to become Oakdale's youngest supercouple.
Shawn Christian

Shawn Christian (ex-Mike Kasnoff, As the World Turns) has landed the role of a newly cast doctor on Days of our Lives. The NBC soap just edged out As the World Turns in signing the actor. The actor first airs in March.
Jon Prescott

As the World Turns wants to bring Mike Kasnoff back to Oakdale. A former Mike was offered the job, but opted to pass. The CBS soap then turned to a new face for the role.

The pre-nominations for this year's Daytime Emmys have now been announced. From this list will come this year's winners. In a rule change, shows may now have up to three nominees in any given category.
Martha Byrne

Only hours after word of Martha Byrne's (Lily Snyder) decision to exit As the World Turns began making the rounds, a show spokesperson issued a statement confirming the Emmy winner's impending exit. The confirmation is not typical protocol for the show. Byrne has played Lily since 1985.

Martha Byrne (Lily Snyder) broke her silence about her exit from As the World Turns only two days after she taped her final scenes on the CBS soap. The actress denied claims that salary and storyline control were at the heart of the stalemate. The actress also took time out to thank Soap Central.
Cady McClain

Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) will return to All My Children this spring. While fans of the actress will no doubt be jumping for joy at the news, there are a few associated buts that could temper any celebration. McClain's return to Pine Valley is only on a short-term basis - and Dixie is still dead.

As the World Turns has found its new Lily. Just a few short weeks after Martha Byrne (Lily Snyder) confirmed that she would be exiting the show comes word that a former Loving star has been hired to take over as Lily. Byrne exits this month, while her replacement hits the airwaves in May.

Dylan Cash (Michael Corinthos III), an actor that General Hospital fans have literally watched grow up, has been let go by the ABC soap. A source says the young actor was caught off guard by the firing. The show is now exploring the possibility of "aging" and ultimately recasting the role. Rumored up for the role is former ATWT star Jesse Lee Soffer.
Julie Pinson

Julie Pinson, a veteran of West Coast soaps Port Charles, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless, is headed to New York. The actress has landed a recurring role on As the World Turns. Pinson will be reunited with two co-stars, one of whom she will share a romantic past. Pinson debuts in May.
John James

With a path of dead patients already in his path and a slew of attempted murders also on his record, Oakdale is going to be to be on heightened security in July. That's when actor John James reprises his role as crazed Rick Dicker. Since leaving ATWT, James has appeared in a much saner role on All My Children.
Cady McClain

She's played a good girl from West Virginia on All My Children and tackled the role of a devilish soap opera vixen on As the World Turns. Now, Emmy winner Cady McClain is rumored to be in the running for the role of Guiding Light's Harley. The show is not going on the record with a comment in either direction, saying only that there are no plans to recast Harley at the present time.
Jon Prescott

Yet another Mike Kasnoff will exit Oakdale in the weeks ahead. Jon Prescott announced on his official web site that he has gotten his walking papers. For several days there have been rumors that someone at ATWT had been let go. Prescott just joined ATWT in April. The reason for the exit has been attributed to budget issues.
Anthony Herrera

As the World Turns is rolling out the villains/ Rick Decker's return to Oakdale earlier this month was just the beginning. Anthony Herrera returns this month as James Stenbeck finds his way out of jail and back to Oakdale. It's been three years since Herrera was last spotted on ATWT. He made his debut on the show in 1980.
Dylan Bruce

Seven up and seven down. Dylan Bruce becomes the latest Chris Hughes to exit As the World Turns. Bruce, who joined the show just last year, has been dropped to recurring status. There's no word on whether the actor will make any additional appearances.
Jon Lindstrom
October 2008
Less than a year after slinking out of Oakdale, Craig Montgomery is on his way back to town. This time, though, a new actor will be tackling the role. Soap vet Jon Lindstrom, known for roles on General Hospital and Port Charles, makes his As the World Turns debut in December. Three other actors have previously held the role.

Three familiar characters will be returning to Oakdale, but the actresses best-known for playing those roles will not. As the World Turns execs have opted to recast the roles of Jade Taylor, Lucy Montgomery, and Maddie Coleman. All three characters make their returns later this month.
Paolo Seganti
December 2008
Paolo Seganti (Damian Grimaldi) will be returning to As the World Turns in 2009. The actor, who was last spotted in Oakdale in August 2006, will be back to mix things up with his on-screen son. Seganti's return is expected to help boost the show's ratings.
